A Felsőnyárád és Jákfalva közötti 250 méteres dombtetőn az ikertornyok egyikéből kémlelhettük a környező tájat. Az építmény instabillá vált, ezért sajnos nem látogatható.
A torony
A földúton megközelíthető, hatszög alaprajzú fatorony lépcsőin felkapaszkodva a lombok takarása miatt körülbelül 270 fokos panoráma tárul elénk a Borsod dombvidékére, keleti irányban a Rudabányai-hegységre, délre pedig a Bükkre, sőt tiszta időben a Mátrára is. Megfigyelhetjük az Aggteleki-karszt barlangokat rejtő vonulatait is.
A kilátó tövében asztalokat és padokat találunk, így akár piknikezhetünk is – a nyári, rekkenő hőségben a fák árnyékában üldögélve. A torony ikerpárjába, a Sajókaza melletti Diána erdei kilátóba sajnos beleharapott az idő vasfoga.
A település
A közeli Felsőnyárádot először kb. 700 évvel ezelőtti hivatalos irat említi Naragh elnevezéssel. A 14. században egy pálos kolostort építtettek a településre. A török időkben teljesen elnéptelenedett faluba katolikusok és reformátusok érkeztek – mindketten saját templomot építettek maguknak, amiket most is láthatunk a házak között. A 20. században az itt élők megélhetését közel 120 évig a feketevölgyi szénbányászat adta – ennek ma a bányászhagyományok állítanak emléket. Az itt lakók legfőbb bevételi forrása a földművelés.

- A buszmegállóból pár lépést teszünk déli irányba az út mentén, majd a jobbra kiágazó, nyugat felé tartó földúton sétálunk a kilátóig (1,4 km).

- A buszmegálló mellett, az út szélén tudjuk leparkolni az autót.
