The salt grotto Wulkatal in Stöttera (district of Mattersburg) is a wellness oasis that has delighted those seeking relaxation with its unique atmosphere and health-promoting effects since its opening in November 2020. The salt grotto is equipped with real salt blocks, salt bricks, and salt grains, allowing visitors to inhale saline, ecologically pure air – comparable to a stay at the sea. With the first breath, guests feel the soothing effect on their respiratory system and overall well-being.
The sessions in the salt grotto last 50 minutes, while the inhalation room can be used for 20-minute applications. The pleasant room temperature is between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius, and the air humidity is between 45 and 60%. It is worth mentioning that the salt grotto is suitable for all age groups – from babies to seniors.
In addition to the salt grotto, the area also offers a farm shop with products made from alpaca wool, as well as an inhalation room for children where they can inhale salt particles while playing. For the youngest visitors, special children's sessions are offered upon request.
