The Sulzschachten is one of the smaller forest pastures within the Bavarian Forest National Park.
The Sulzschachten is located at an altitude of 1230 meters above sea level and can be reached easiest on a tour across Großer Falkenstein. The Sulzschachten, with a surface of 1.1 hectare, was first mentioned in 1755 and is one of the smaller clearings of the national park. A lush vegetation of blueberries is characteristic of Sulzschachten.
