A Baglyas-hegy nyugati lábánál húzódó Hideg-völgy oldalában, dolomitsziklák szorításában kitárulkozó panorámapont rejtőzik, ahova érdemes tenni egy rövidke kitérőt.

Panoráma

A Várpalotától északra kanyargó P jelzésről fehér dolomitrögök peremére hívogat néhány lépésnyit a P▲jelzés. A hegy és völgy közé ékelődő sziklás kiszögellés kilátópontjáról lenyűgöző a látvány. Mintha egy patkó pereméről nézelődnénk: három oldalról a magasba emelkedő, fehér sziklaformációkkal dekorált ormok vesznek körül bennünket, a lábunk alatt az óriási falakkal leszakadó völgy húzódik, déli irányban pedig a völgy vonalában kinyílik a táj a Mezőföld végtelenbe nyújtózkodó lapályára – az idilli természeti képet csak az inotai hőerőmű vaskos, mára használaton kívüli hűtőtornyai zavarják meg.

A környék természeti értékei

A sziklaképződményekben gazdag, magasra nyújtózó oldalakkal ellátott Hideg-völgyben időszakosan működő patakmeder kanyarog. A völgy aljában két kartsztkút is működik, amiknek vizét a településekre vezették.

Directions

  • A Radnóti utcai buszmegállóból keleti irányba indulunk a Radnóti utcán, ahol egy idő után csatlakozik hozzánk a P jelzés. Ennek a Polyán utcai ágán, a P jeleket követve érünk a kilátópontra - az utolsó pár métert a P▲ jelzésen tesszük meg (3,3 km, 82 m szintemelkedés).
Figyelem!

Parking

  • A hegycsúcshoz legközelebb a Pápay Zoltán utca felső végén tudunk parkolni.
