Der Grünberg (bei Gmunden) ist ein beliebter Wander- und Schitourenberg, der bei fast jedem Wetter gerne begangen wird. Von diesem leicht erreichbaren Ziel eröffnet sich die Aussicht auf die Norgseite des Traunsteins, den Traunsee, den Dachstein, auf das Höllengebirge und über das Alpenvorland bis in den Hausruck und nach Wels. In der Übergangszeit ist am Gipfel oft Sonne, wenn der Nebel über dem Traunsee und dem Flachland liegt
