Resting areas with benches, hammocks and viewing platforms await visitors in the Bleistätter Moor on the east shore of the lake. There are two route variants. In Steindorf, nature lovers have a car park with a parking machine available with a “30-minute ticket” for free parking.
The protected area is a habitat for rare animal and plant species, including:
Animals: 25 species of snails, 31 species of dragonflies (big damselfish), 14 different species of bats (water bat), 9 species of amphibians (water frogs, yellow-bellied toad, tree frog), birds (moor duck, kingfisher). , black stork, wood sandpiper, ruff, red-backed shrike, osprey, booted eagle), beaver, 700 species of butterflies.
