Aussichtsturm im Südpark

From the observation tower, located by the renaturalized Birnbach, visitors have the best overview of the city and the Ebenberg, a 230 ha area that was formerly used as a military training ground, now a national natural heritage site.

The wall at the observation tower on the former state garden show grounds in Landau is now adorned by a true Till Heim: The graffiti artist completed his artwork there on commission from the city’s building office. With geometric shapes in many different colors, Heim has beautified the gray surface. His goal: to convey positive energy and lightness through the mural. Councillor Lukas Hartmann recently visited the site to see the “new splash of color” in the city: “For several years now, the city of Landau has been relying on legal graffiti to make public spaces more attractive. This also helps curb illegal vandalism.” Till Heim is a reliable partner in this matter: For example, he is also responsible for the artworks in front of the city library at Heinrich-Heine-Platz, at the South Bridge on the LGS grounds, and at the entrance of the Ponyhof daycare center.
