L'exposition met en lumière trois grandes thématiques : archéologique, militaire et arts et traditions populaires, s'échelonnant de la Préhistoire au début du 20ème siècle. Le noyau de ces collections a été rassemblé au début du siècle dernier par l'Altertumsverein, la société savante wissembourgeoise, véritable garante de la sauvegarde et de la valorisation du patrimoine local. Présentée dans les locaux de l'ancienne sous-préfecture de Wissembourg, l'exposition arbordera de nouvelles perspectives qui mèneront à la future réouverture du musée Westercamp.
