Der Ochsensitz ist ein beeindruckender Gipfel auf 1.515m im Naturschutzgebiet Ammergebirge, das zum Naturpark Ammergauer Alpen gehört. Von hier aus hast du einen fantastischen Blick auf das malerische Ettal mit seinem berühmten Kloster und das idyllische Graswangtal. 

Das Gebiet ist ein wichtiger Lebensraum für seltene Tierarten wie Weißrückenspechte, Raufußhühner und Gämsen, die die felsigen und bewaldeten Hänge bewohnen. Auf den alpinen Matten gedeihen zudem botanische Raritäten wie Orchideenarten oder dem Enzian.

Um die empfindliche Natur zu schützen, halte dich bitte an folgende Regeln: Bleib auf den Wegen und vermeide Feuer und Müll. Besonders in der Dämmerung reagieren Wildtiere empfindlich auf Störungen – so wird zum Beispiel ihre Nahrungsaufnahme unterbrochen, was zu zusätzlichem Stress führt. Vermeide daher Touren bei Sonnenaufgang und -untergang und respektiere das Camping- und Biwakverbot, um die Tiere nicht unnötig zu belasten. So bleibt diese einzigartige Landschaft auch in Zukunft unberührt und wunderschön.

Public transport

Die Touren zum Ochsensitz sind bequem und umweltfreundlich mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.

Regelmäßige Busverbindungen nach Ettal bieten ideale Ausgangspunkte für den Aufstieg. Die Anreise ab München dauert mit Bahn und Bus etwa drei Stunden und ermöglicht dir eine stressfreie Fahrt in die Ammergauer Alpen – perfekt, um die Natur von Anfang an zu genießen.
