Der Litnisschrofen befindet sich zwischen dem Strindenbachtal und dem Weißenbachtal. Der Aufstieg ist von Haldensee, Nesselwängle oder von Rauth über den Enziansteig möglich, wobei der Berggipfel vom Tal aus kaum zu sehen ist. Der Gipfel ist nur über die Südseite zu erreichen und erhebt sich neben der 2000 m hohen Krinnenspitze, welche sich nordöstlich vom Litnisschrofen befindet.
