Der Monte Limidario (Gridone) ist mit seinen 2188 m der höchste Berggipfel am Ufer des Lago Maggiore.

Seine italienische Bezeichnung erhielt der Berg, da sein Grat die Grenze zwischen dem italienischen Cannobinatal und dem schweizerischen Centovalli bildet. Als höchster Berg dieser beiden Täler bietet der Gridone, wie er in der Schweiz genannt wird, einen grandiosen Rundumblick über die Tessiner und Walliser Berggipfel und den Lago Maggiore bis nach Ascona und Locarno. Die Besteigung ist für Geübte sowohl von der Schweiz (Brissago, Rasa), als auch vom italienischen Cavaglio aus möglich.
