Mit 2161 m ist der mittlere Gipfel der Geierköpfe auch ihr höchster. Bergsteiger können sich vom Gipfel aus über eine beeindruckende Panoramasicht in alle Richtungen freuen.

Die Besteigung des Hauptgipfels der Geierköpfe ist nur erfahrenen Bergsteigern zu empfehlen, die trittsicher und schwindelfrei sind. Der Aufstieg erfolgt über den Grat vom West- oder Ostgipfel, wobei die Route von Osten her deutlich größere technische Schwierigkeiten bereithält.
