The theme of wine, granite and wood as well as landscape conservation and nature protection was realised with the creation of the adventure hiking trail.
Signposted circular route, steep location. Good footwear is essential.
You are cordially invited to hike the Engelssteig trail with its stations. The Engelsberg is one of the steepest vineyard sites in Europe.
Experience the historic, extremely arduous steep-slope viticulture, enjoy unique views as far as the Hornigsgrinde and the Vosges mountains - and perhaps even catch a whiff of the angels after whom the mountain is named.
