Die Große Enz entspringt in Gompelscheuer bzw. entsteht hier aus dem Poppelbach und dem Kaltenbach. Die denkmalgeschützte Enzquelle, auch Enz-Ursprung genannt, ist der Startpunkt des Enztalradweges.
Der Enz-Ursprung ist der Startpunkt des Enztalradwegs und ein beliebter Treffpunkt und Ausflugsziel. Die Quelle wurde mit einer Stützmauer optisch schön angelegt und bietet Sitzmöglichkeiten sowie eine Informationstafel. Seit Sommer 2021 ist der neue, handgefertigte Flößer aus Holz ein optisches Highlight auf dem Mäuerchen der Quellfassung.
