The Kaltenbach Loop near Gompelscheuer leads into the typical Black Forest nature - secluded from civilization, everyday stress, and crowds. A insider tip for nature lovers!
Deep in the Enz valley lies hidden Gompelscheuer – a small district of Enzklösterle. Surrounded by beautiful nature – deep woods, babbling streams, and lush meadows – it is perfect here for a small hiking break. Between the wooded slopes of the valley and over a beautiful path, directly along the Kaltenbach stream, the route goes to the Kaltenbachsee. It lies completely still, resting peacefully – ideal for a small rest and everyday pause. The path directly along the Kaltenbach already gives a small foretaste of the natural idyll that awaits you at the small lake. On one side stands the forest right at the shore while on the other side shrubs and hedges line the lake. In between a small wooden bridge with a view of the lake – simply wonderful!
As soon as you can tear yourself away from this gem, enchanted paths will lead you back through the varied forest to Gompelscheuer.
Author’s recommendation
Parking spaces are very rare in Gompelscheuer - all the better that the route starts directly at the bus stop, which is regularly serviced.
