Das Wasser der Aachquelle stammt größtenteils aus der Donau, welches zwischen Immendingen und Fridingen versickert und durch das poröse Karstgestein einen unterirdischen Abfluss geschaffen hat.

- zweite Hauptversickerungstelle befindet sich bei Fridingen/Donau
