A free parking lot for visitors at the Forest Experience Center in Füssen.

Visitors can park at the end of the treetop path at the Forest Experience Center free of charge. From there, a hiking trail leads to the floodplain forest path, and another path parallel to the road leads to the main entrance of the exhibition building of the Forest Experience Center and the paid entrance to the treetop path.

Further hikes, e.g., to the mountain forest path, are possible from here. There is a bus parking option opposite the exhibition building at the start of the mountain forest path. Next to it is a forest snack bar.

Opening times

The free parking is available for visitors daily from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

The parking lot is free for visitors of the forest experience center.

From the long-distance train stations in Ulm, Augsburg, and Munich, there are regular train connections to Füssen.

From Füssen train station, transfer to the Austrian bus line 100 (not included in the Füssen Card; ticket purchase on the bus possible) - get off at the "Ziegelwies" stop.

Accessible from Hopfen am See with bus line 56 (stop Füssen bus and train station). Then transfer to the Austrian bus line 100 (not included in the Füssen Card; ticket purchase on the bus possible) - get off at the "Ziegelwies" stop.

Accessible from Weißensee with bus line 71 (stop Füssen bus and train station). Then transfer to the Austrian bus line 100 (not included in the Füssen Card; ticket purchase on the bus possible) - get off at the "Ziegelwies" stop.

Directions

Via the A7 motorway and the federal roads B310, B16, and B17 directly to Füssen. The Augsburg Road or the Kempten Road lead to the city center. From here, head towards Schwangau / Romantic Road.

At the eastern edge of Füssen, take the old border road / Tiroler Straße for about two kilometers towards Austria. Just before the national border, you will find the Forest Experience Center and the parking lot.
