Dandelion-Explorer Path

The hiking tour on the Hohnekamm starts with a highlight. A tall gate with dandelion blossoms directs to the Löwenzahn-Entdeckerpfad, the dandelion-explorer-path. Watching and listening, remembering and sometimes dreaming. All of this is very much wanted. The path was designed for curious kids but also for adults. All of them were young at some point and some of you watched the tv-show "Löwenzahn" by Peter Lustig. At its 25-year-anniversary, the TV-channel ZDF and the national park worked out the "Löwenzahnpfad". To discover the explorer path in every detail takes more than an hour. The slewing columns are both for learning and playing. Animal tracks are waiting to be discovered. At another spot, you'll learn which living organisms like dead wood. And then there is the "Höreule", the owl to listen, the signature feature of the Löwenzahn-Pfad. By the help of ear trumpets, you can appreciate bird songs and children's voices as well as the rustling of leaves in the trees. How well you memorized the new or refreshed knowledge can be tested with the "Waldmemory", the forest memory. With the long jump, you don't only compete with your siblings, parents or friends. A comparison is also possible with the performance of flea, boar or squirrel.
