Kedysi sa práve tu zem zatriasla takou silou, že ryolitové bralo Kamenná rozpukalo a rozpadlo sa na obrovské kamene, ktoré ako kamenná rieka „vytiekli“ do doliny.

Kamenné more je jedinečné na Slovensku. Priamo pod Kamenným morom vyviera prameň s nežným menom Ladienka alebo Anjelský prameň. Ale pozor, voda je tu ostrá, studená, po celý rok má 4 °C.
