Gemona's Ecomuseum aims at basing the future development of the territory on a logic of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
The heart of the Ecomuseum is the Centre for Environmental Education Mulino Cocconi, that hosts the Museum of milling arts and the Documentation Centre on the waters in Gemona.
The watermill Mulino Cocconi, the only watermill recovered in Gemona after the earthquake, dates back to 15th century, even if the present structure is dated early 19th century.
