V minulosti bola v pôvodnej sypárni rodného domu, ktorá sa ako jediná zachovala po požiari v roku 1863, zriadená Pamätná izba Jána Kollára. Od roku 2010, keď k pôvodnej sypárni Mošovčania pristavili rekonštruovanú stavbu rodného domu Jána Kollára podľa pôvodných nákresov, sprístupnili v nových priestoroch rozsiahlejšiu stálu literárno-múzejnú expozíciu.
V expozícii je malá časť venovaná histórii Mošoviec, v ktorej sú dokumenty o prvej zmienke a názvosloví obce, dobové pohľady na Mošovce a stručný prehľad významných osobností spojených s Mošovcami. Väčšia časť je venovaná životu a dielu Jána Kollára, v ktorej je nákres jeho rodného domu, zápis do matriky o jeho narodení, fotografie škôl, ktoré navštevoval, vysvedčenie, svadobná fotografia z roku 1835, ľúbostnú korešpondenciu medzi Jánom Kollárom a budúcou manželkou Frederikou Schmidtovou. V expozícii sú jednotlivé vydania jeho diel (napr. Slávy dcera), knihy venované myšlienke všeslovanskej vzájomnosti. Nachádzajú sa tu fotografie z prevozu telesných pozostatkov Jána Kollára na Olšanský cintorín v Prahe s posmrtnou medailou a busta, ktorú obci venovala jeho pravnučka Ľudmila v roku 1983 pri príležitosti 190. výročia jeho narodenia.
