The Historical Museum of Velingrad is a regional museum presenting the cultural, archaeological, and ethnographic history of the Chepino Valley. It includes exhibitions ranging from ancient artefacts and Orthodox icons to local crafts and modern historical collections. The museum is one of the key cultural institutions in Velingrad.

The Historical Museum Velingrad was founded in the early 1950s and is located in the Kamenica district, near the Church of the Holy Trinity. It developed from earlier local collections established in the early 20th century and now serves as the central institution for preserving the historical memory of the region. The museum holds a diverse collection of more than 17,000–19,000 artefacts spanning archaeology, ethnography, the Bulgarian National Revival, and modern history.

Its permanent exhibitions include archaeological finds from Thracian and Roman periods, medieval artefacts, traditional household objects, religious icons, and documentation of local cultural development. One of its most distinctive features is the exhibition dedicated to decorated Easter eggs, which reflects a long-standing regional folk tradition. Other exhibitions highlight important local figures and events, including displays dedicated to opera singer Nikolay Gyaurov and partisan Vela Peeva. The museum also plays an active educational role, hosting workshops, cultural events, and seasonal exhibitions connected to regional traditions and heritage.

Velingrad is accessible by regional train and bus connections from Sofia, typically via Septemvri. From the town centre, the museum is reachable by local bus, taxi, or a short walk depending on the district.

The museum is located in the Kamenica neighbourhood of Velingrad, at ul. Vladо Chernozemski 4. From the centre of Velingrad, it can be reached in a few minutes by car or on foot depending on starting point, with signage toward the cultural district.
