The museum’s collection highlights church life, religious artefacts, liturgical objects, historical documents, and photographs related to the Danube Swabian community. Through these objects, visitors gain insight into everyday spiritual life, parish traditions, and the broader historical experiences of the community, including migration, settlement, and cultural identity along the Danube.
Apatin itself was one of the most significant centres of Danube Swabian settlement. The museum therefore acts as both a cultural memory space and a documentation centre for a community whose presence dramatically changed after the Second World War.
