Die jüngste der acht erhaltenen Totenleuchten Kärntens, ein Meisterwerk spätgotischer Steinmetzarbeit, befindet sich auf dem ehemaligen Friedhof von Maria Saal zwischen Kirche und Karner. Die Lichtsäule ruht auf einer massiven Stufenbasis und besteht aus einem kunstvoll gedrehten Schaft, der gotischen Laterne und dem krabbenbesetzten Spitzhelm mit Kreuzrose. 1910 wurde der obere Teil des Helmes erneuert und ein neuer Unterbau errichtet, aus dem vier Eisenstützen die Laterne abstützen. Das Denkmal wurde mit einem Eisengitter umgeben.
