Auf dem Gipfel des Monte Grappa (1775 m) befindet sich das „Sacrario del Monte Grappa“, eine Gedenkstätte für die Gefallenen der sogenannten Piaveschlachten im Ersten Weltkrieg. Dabei ließen tausende an italienischen und österreichisch-ungarischen Soldaten ihr Leben.

Das Denkmal wurde im Jahr 1930 von der damaligen faschistischen Regierung Italiens errichtet. In dem dazugehörigen Ossarium liegen die Überreste von 12.615 italienischen und 10.295 österreichischen Soldaten. Die Gipfelregion gilt heutzutage als heilige Zone und darf nur zu Fuß betreten werden.
