Deep in the forest, between Waldleinigen and Johanniskreuz lies a huge sandstone block with the inscription: "Do wird die Weltachs inngeschmeert - unn uffgepasst, dass nix passeert!" which means something like: "There the world axle is oiled and watched out that nothing happens".

If the words of the local poet Paul Münch (1879-1951) are to be believed, the center of the world is located here. The tradition of greasing the world's axes, reciting the complete passage from Paul Münch's "Weltgeschichte", goes back to 1964.
