Die Plesse ist ein 480 m hoher Berg im bewaldeten Kalksteinplateau der Wanfrieder Werrahöhen östlich des Werratals etwa 3 km nordöstlich von Wanfried. Sie gehört zu Höhenzug Keudelskuppe-Plesse-Hohnstein, der entlang der hessisch-thüringischen Grenze verläuft. Seit einem Felssturz im 17. Jhd. tritt der Muschelkalk als Plessefelsen eindrucksvoll zu Tage. Auf dem Berg steht ein Aussichtsturm.
