Mintha egy fémujj nyúlna ki a földből, amire gyűrűt húztak – kevesen ismerik ezt a mobil átjátszótorony derekán kialakított kilátóteraszt, mégis megéri meglátogatni a szokatlan élményért és persze a szép körpanorámáért.
A meggyűrűzött torony
Borsodbótától északra, az erdő ölelésében hórihorgas, robusztus fémtorony tör az ég felé a 332 méter magas dombtetőn. A csupa egyenes elemből álló, szögletes formavilágú építmény eleinte csak a mobilhálózat átjátszótornyaként funkcionált, ám később íves formákkal kiegészítve egészen új szerepet kapott. A háromszög alapú, karcsú fémváz lábai között íves csigalépcső tekeredik a magasba, amin a derekán található, kör (a korlátokkal együtt pedig már henger) formájú panorámaszintre lehet felkapaszkodni. A többfunkcióssá vált épülethez egyelőre nem vezet jelzett turistaút (csak a szomszédos Upponyon és Sátán megy keresztül az Országos Kéktúra útvonala), mégis vétek kihagyni, ha a környéken járunk.
Panoráma
A torony tetejéről teljes körpanorámát kapunk a körülöttünk hullámzó Upponyi-hegységre, távolabb a Bükk vonulatára. A közelben Borsodbóta házai pettyezik színesre az erdőkkel borított tájat, de távolabb is kiszúrhatjuk az apró falvakat. Ha mázlink van, és tiszta, páramentes az idő, a távolban a Magas-Tátra csúcsait is megpillanthatjuk.

- A buszról a Borsodbóta, autóbusz-váróterem megállóban érdemes leszállni.

Directions
- A buszmegállóból pár lépést teszünk nyugati irányba a Rákóczi úton, majd jobbra térünk a Temető utcára. A jobbra kiágazó földúton elmegyünk a temető mellett, majd az erdőbe térünk. 850 méter után a balra kiágazó földútra váltunk, ami a kilátóhoz vezet (1,3 km, 94 m szintemelkedés).
- A parkolóból a keleti irányba induló földúton, az Y elágazásban balra tartva jutunk a kilátóhoz (1 km, 47 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Parkolni a Borsodbótáról Sajómercsére vezető út mentén érdemes.
