Mielőtt a Badacsony déli oldalán felhágó Országos Kéktúra megérkezne a hegytetőn álló Kisfaludy-kilátóhoz, elvezet egy kis erdei pihenőhely mellett. A padokkal és asztalokkal körülvett kőház kiváló piknikhelyszín, és bivakszállásnak sem utolsó.
A tölgyek és gyertyánok lombjai alatt két garnitúra pad és asztal, valamint rendezett, kis kőház biztosít piknikező, illetve bivakhelyet az erdőjáróknak. A bútorozatlan házikó mindenki előtt nyitva áll, akit éppen elkapott az eső vagy vándortúrázóként kényelmes éjszakai menedéket keres. Az épület nem csupán védelmet nyújt a csapadék vagy a szél ellen, de sima, száraz és tiszta kőpadlózata kiváló fekhely, csupán derékaljra és hálózsákra van szükség. Felszereléssel együtt kényelmesen 4 fő tud behúzódni a menedékbe. Ügyeljünk a tisztaságra, hogy a puritán komfortot mások is élvezhessék.
Forrás vagy vízvételezési lehetőség a táborhely közelében nincsen, mint ahogy kiépített tűzrakó sem. A tűzgyújtás kiemelt kockázatot jelent a fokozottan védett területen, ezért ha mindenképpen sütni vagy főzni szeretnénk, használjunk kempingfőzőt!

- A legrövidebb út a Badacsony vasútállomásról indul a pihenőhelyhez.
- A Badacsonytomaj vasútállomásról (egyben buszmegálló) is nekivághatunk.
- A Badacsonytördemic-Szigliget vasútállomásról kissé hosszabb túra vezet a pihenőhelyhez.

- A badacsonytomaji Kisfaludy utcai parkolótól a K▲ jelhez kell ragaszkodnunk, hogy felérjünk a pihenőhelyhez (1,4 km, 216 m szintemelkedés).
- A Badacsony vasútállomásról a K▲ jelzés vezet a pihenőig, a kaptatós ösvény idővel egyesül az Országos Kéktúra K jelével, és kisvártatva felbukkan a pihenőhely (2,8 km, 313 m szintemelkedés).
- Badacsonytomaj vasútállomásáról a S jelű turistautat kövessük a hegyen kanyargó K sáv ösvényéig. Ezt kövessük, míg meg nem látjuk a a Kisfaludy-kilátóhoz leágazó K▲ jelzést, ezen pár perc múlva megérkezünk a táborhelyhez (3 km, 325 m szintemelkedés).
- A Badacsonytördemic-Szigliget megállóból először a K jelzést kell követnünk a pihenő felkereséséhez, majd a hegy közepe felé váltsunk a K+ jelzésre, amelyet követve érjük el a pihenőhelyet. (3,6 km, 328 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Autóval legközelebb akkor jutunk, ha a badacsonytomaji Kisfaludy utcán végigmegyünk. Az utca végén található Rózsakő parkoló március 1. és november 30. között fizetős.
