Der Lej Alv liegt oberhalb der Bergstation Marguns und fängt das Wasser, das vom Val Schlattain und vom Berg bei der Schneeschmelze herunterfliesst, auf und speichert es. Der Speichersee verfügt über ein Volumen von rund 400'000 m3 und wird für die Beschneiung der Skigebiete genutzt. Damit wird pro Jahr der Strombedarf von rund 400 Haushalten eingespart.
Im Sommer ist er ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Mountainbiker und Wanderer dar.
