This challenging loop trail treats riders to a true single-track highlight through the impressive mountain scenery of Val Suvretta and Val Bever. The route begins at the Celerina train station: passing the Marguns gondola base station, the trail leads up a forest road to Marguns—or, if you prefer, you can take the gondola up for a more comfortable ride. The route continues to the Corviglia mountain station, from where there are just under 200 meters of elevation gain remaining to the tour’s highest point: first along a steep gravel road, then on a magnificent trail around Piz Nair to the Suvretta Pass. From here, the real fun begins—a flowing trail that winds downhill for just under six kilometers through the impressive high-mountain landscape of the Val Suvretta. In the Val Bever, the trail transitions into a well-maintained gravel path, whose gentle undulations also make for an enjoyable ride. The route then leads back to Celerina via Samedan.

This tour is part of the“Bike Tours Along the RhB Route” collection and combines technically challenging trails with a relaxed journey via the Rhaetian Railway. With the Graubünden Pass Bike, you can enjoy unlimited train and PostBus travel in the region, guaranteeing maximum flexibility for your tour.

    Equipment

    • Bike: A full-suspension mountain bike (fully) is recommended—due to the technical trail sections and elevation gain, an e-mountain bike is also a good choice
    • Protective gear: Helmets are required; knee and elbow pads are recommended for the challenging sections in Val Bever
    • Repair kit: Don’t forget a spare inner tube, patch kit, mini pump, and multitool—there are no service stations along the route
    • Food & Water: Bring plenty of drinking water (at least 1.5–2 liters) as well as energy bars and snacks, even though there are several places to stop for refreshments along the way
    • Clothing: Pack a weatherproof, wind- and water-resistant layer—at over 2,800 m, it can get cool and windy even in summer
    • Navigation: A GPX track or map app is recommended, especially due to the current detour via the Fuorcla Schlattain
    • Sun protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and, if necessary, a hat due to the high-alpine location
