The route is technically easy, it runs 60% over wide gravel tracks. The landscape of this high plateau "Las Trais Fluors" in Val Saluver is all the more impressive. First you see three rock needles from Marguns, which every child in Engadin knows. Because the "Trais Fluors", as the striking rock formation is called in Romansh, are actually petrified miracle flowers. Then the view opens up to Sass Nair, Piz Saluver, Piz Corviglia and Piz Nair, to name only the most striking ones. The surrounding mountains are reflected in a unique way in the two lakes of Lej Alv. On the descent you can overlook wide areas of Upper Engadin from Silvaplanasee with Corvatsch to Piz Rosatsch, over Sankt Moritz and Pontresina with Piz Muragl / Piz Languard to Celerina. On the further descent it then goes through beautiful larch forests to the starting point. Orientation: no continuous markings, strangers need map / GPS Path types: 40% mountain paths, 60% wide gravel roads. Refreshment options: several along the route, depending on the season: Glüna Alp, Giop Alp. Later in the year as long as the lifts are open e.g.: Corviglia Quattro Bar: https://www.mountains.ch/de/essen-trinken/winter/quattrobar/
Author’s recommendation
In autumn the route is especially interesting for outdoor photographers when the first snow lies on the mountains and the larch forests glow yellow in Indian Summer.

From Marguns follow the signs to Lej Alv uphill in a southwesterly direction.
At Alp Glüna go west, later continue uphill southwards to Lej Alv.
Pass the larger reservoir located south of it.
Then continue to Corviglia mountain station either on the "Alpine Pass Route" (No. 6) or on the parallel path running slightly below it.
From Corviglia, follow the Via Engiadina (No. 87) downhill until you reach the junction to Alp Giop.
Arriving there, follow the signs to "Chantarella" in a southeasterly direction. Further eastwards, later strictly south, follow the signs to "Dorf Sankt Moritz".
Upon arrival in the village, follow the Via Maistra in a northeasterly direction until you meet the "Via Albula/ Bernina" (No. 33) at the edge of the village. Follow this road to the parking lot.
