Der Kleinsee ist mit seiner neun Hektar großen Fläche der kleinste der drei Seen in der Gemeinde St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See und ist für Naturliebhaber und Erholungssuchende bestens geeignet. Das Wandern, Laufen und Nordic Walken ist hier in unmittelbarer Nähe auf den markierten Wegen sehr beliebt.
Das Fischen am Kleinsee ist mit Mietbooten des Jauntaler Fischerklubs erlaubt. In diesem Fischwasser können Hechte, Waller, Zander, Karpfen, Schleien und Reinanken bei Beachtung von Schonzeiten und Mindestmaßen geangelt werden.
