Because of its good wind conditions, the lake is popular with kite surfers in summer and winter. Europe's highest catamaran school is also run on Lake Dauben. There are no fish in Lake Dauben. Because of its shallow depth, the lake is already empty in November and only fills up again when the snow melts.
