Der direkt neben der Iller liegende Auwaldsee ist mit seinem glasklaren Wasser und dem atemraubenden Bergblick ein richtiges Landschaftsidyll. Baden ist in dem Gewässer zwar verboten, aber mit etwas Glück lassen sich Wasservögel, Fische und Libellen beobachten. Für besonders intensive Naturerlebnisse empfiehlt sich die Mitnahme eines Fernglases.
