For a long time, the building served as the official residence of the bailiffs who administered the Wäschenbeuren manor. The imposing façade facing the market square is particularly striking. It features richly designed Renaissance half-timbering with magnificent decorative elements, including double St. Andrew's crosses and decorative plaster inlays. Two octagonal corner turrets frame the gable front and give the building its characteristic appearance.
Above the entrance is the coat of arms of the von Rechberg family with the red lions. In earlier times, there was a barn and a garden with a small fish pond next to the manor house.
After the manor was abolished in 1805, the building continued to be used, among other things, as the mayor's office and later as official residences for district foresters and district constables. Since the late 20th century, the building has been owned by Kreissparkasse Göppingen, which continues to use and maintain the historic building.
