The Esterházy Palace in Fertőd, known as the Hungarian Versailles, is the largest and most luxurious Baroque-Rococo palace in Hungary, which once served as the residence of the Esterházy family. The impressive building, constructed in the 18th century, with its magnificent halls, frescoes, and the imposing parkland, transports visitors to a world of aristocratic splendor. A highlight of the palace is the work of Joseph Haydn, the court composer of Prince Miklós Esterházy. The lovingly designed French gardens invite romantic strolls, noting that bicycles (including pushed bikes) are prohibited on the premises.
