Tiszaalpáron Magyarország első teljes Árpád-kori falurekonstrukcióját tekinthetjük meg.

A 2000-ben épített skanzenben honfoglaló őseink mindennapjaiba nyerhetünk bepillantást. A 4-6 hektáron elterülő települések pontos helyreállítására „nem volt elég hely”, így az épületeket az eredetihez képest közelebb húzták egymáshoz, viszont azok hűen tükrözik Árpád-kori elődeiket. Nád- és földfedeles, verembe mélyített vályogházak, szabadtéri kemencék, állatkarám, pákászkunyhó, vesszőfonatú kút fogadja a látogatókat. A Kiskunsági Nemzeti Parkhoz tartozó bemutatóhely nagyjából negyedóra alatt kényelmesen végigsétálható.

A már bronzkorban is lakott Tiszaalpár első írásos említése 1075-ből való, I. Gézához köthető. A falurekonstrukció a Kiskunságon zajlott régészeti feltárások során talált településszerkezetek alapján készült.

  • Vonattal érkezve a Tiszaalpár vasúti megállóhelyen szálljunk le.

  • A Tiszaalpár, Mátyás király utca buszmegállóból a Z jelzéseket kövessük (520 m, szintemelkedés nélkül).
  • Tiszaalpár vasúti megállóhelyétől a települést átszelő Alkotmány utcát kövessük egészen az Árpád térig, majd a Deák Ferenc utcán érkező Z jelzésig. Ezen balra térve érkezünk meg az Árpád-kori falu rekonstrukciójához (1,3 km, szintemelkedés nélkül).

  • A tiszaalpári Várdomb aljában, a Várkert utca kanyarjában található füves placcon hagyhatjuk az autót.
