A tündérkertek őrzik a Kárpát-medence „végtelen fajtagazdagságú” gyümölcs hagyatékát. Számos őshonos gyümölcsfajtával találkozhatunk ezekben a kertekben.
"A viszáki Tündérkert az őshonos gyümölcsfák otthona, ahol 40 elültetett facsemete őrzi a régi gyümölcsfajtáink génállományát, egy-egy helyi vagy innen elszármazott fiatal gondjaira bízva. A műszaki egyetem építész hallgatói 2012-ben egy öreg körtefa köré építették fel a Tündérkert csillagát, amely mágikus védelmet ad a kert fáinak és menedéket nyújt az ide érkezőknek. 2013-ban akácfából készült gyaloghidat, „börüt" húztak fel, 2015-ben elkészült a kemencekápolna." orseg.hu
