Lake Lentiira is scenic lake in northern Kuhmo. Lake is perfect for fishing, boat trips and canoeing.
Lake Lentiira is a remote lake in northern Kuhmo, Lentiira village. Endless lakeshore, untamed streams and tranquil riverside make Lentiira a haven for fishermen and women alike. Lake Lentiira is known destination for catching pike, perch and zander, whitefish, burbot and vendace. Fish guarantee is good, and the biggest catches are pikes of nearly 13kg.
Lake Lentiira area offers excellent opportunities for trips on the waters. The wide backwaters, as well as the sheltered sides of the islands attract visitors to the lake. Natural beaches can be easily reached by boat, canoe or kayak.
Lake Änättijärvi connecting to Lake Lentiira is the beginning spot for the Tervareitti Route to Kajaani.

No fee.
PERMITS:
€10/24 hours, €25/week, €50/season. Those under 15 years of age are charged only half a fee.

Directions
To reach Lake Lentiira take the Kuhmo-Suomussalmi road (No.912) and drive 43km north towards the Lentiira village. At Käntinsalmentie crossroads you should turn to left (to the west). The car park is on the left side of the road immediately after the crossroads.

There is parking area immediately after you turn to left at Käntinsalmentie crossroads.
