Hofladen Mathislehof

The Mathislehof lies in the middle of mountain meadows and has been a living part of the Black Forest Highlands cultural landscape since 1708. Surrounded by our peacefully chewing cows, we dedicate ourselves to rearing calves and let our herd of horned Vorderwald cattle graze on the pastures. We not only rear our animals with love and respect, but also look after the surrounding cultivated landscape so that our farm organism can grow and flourish. That is why we farm our 24 hectares of grassland biodynamically.

The farm shop in the former threshing barn invites you to buy a variety of products, including meat and sausages from our animals, raw milk mountain cheese and freshly baked bread made from our own grain. To make our shop more diverse, we offer selected foods from local partners. You can linger and relax in our courtyard all year round with a snack made from our products or a piece of cake. In summer, cool drinks and ice cream help you cool down, while in winter, punch with a delicious raclette sandwich warms up cold hikers. For groups of 10 people or more, we offer guided tours of our farm followed by a tasting of our own farm produce.
