In the middle of the beautiful southern Palatinate are our seven villages, which on the Protestant side belong to the parishes "Im Gäu": Altdorf with Venningen, Böbingen and Duttweiler form one parish and Freimersheim, Kleinfischlingen and Großfischlingen the other. Since 2013 these places belong to one parish office: The parish office "Im Gäu". We are now growing together as a parish, attending each other's services and events, and getting to know each other beyond the village boundaries.

There has been a reformed parish in Böbingen since 1555. The church was built in the style of classicism in the years 1818 to 1820 and represents a hall of reformed type. The Protestants of Böbingen held their services in the Catholic church of St. Sebastian until the construction of this building. The three bells were cast in Karlsruhe and harmonize with the ringing of the neighboring Catholic church.
