UFFBASSE! – Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
- Fire & Smoking – Making fires, smoking, and barbecuing are strictly prohibited in the forest and must be avoided at all costs! Fires and thus major damage to nature and wildlife can only be prevented this way.
- Be considerate – Always behave thoughtfully, friendly, and considerate towards everyone you meet on the way. This applies especially to farm roads, where vintners, farmers, and foresters work even on weekends.
- Nature conservation – Stay on designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to not disturb the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
- Picnic & Waste – Take a garbage bag with you for the journey and take your trash back home. Use furnished rest areas exclusively for breaks and picnics.
- Leash your dog – Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Safety information
Hiking on natural paths and trails – Especially in autumn, note that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees can still fall or branches fall down afterwards. Especially in adverse weather, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or ravines are secured with ropes or rails. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you find certain path sections impassable, you should bypass them. Despite the "unmissable" markings of the premium hiking trails, for safety reasons we always recommend carrying a suitable hiking map, so you can quickly find a safe area, for example, in a thunderstorm or emergency. Path closures and detours must be strictly observed.
Hazard situations – In case of an emergency, quick help is needed. Even though cell phones can transmit GPS signals, classic rescue points are often the fastest way. These are located at places easily accessible for rescue vehicles. Remember the points with green signs and a white cross. In an emergency, return there and give the number on the sign when calling for help. Rescuers will then know where to find you.
