A kőszegi evangélikus templom

A nagy múltú kőszegi evangélikus gyülekezet 1783-ban épült temploma egy - a Várkör 44. szám alatti épület felől nyíló udvaron áll. II.József 1781-es türelmi rendelete alapján evangélikus gyülekezetek torony és harang nélküli, nem közútról nyíló bejárattal rendelkező - templomokat is építhettek. Ez a magyarázata a késő barokk stílusú templom elhelyezkedésének, és hogy harangtornya csak 1930-ban készült el a közelben. A templomban található faragott szobrok helyi mesterek munkái, a barokk padok 1738-ban készültek.

Opening times

A templomban minden vasár- és ünnepnapon 9 órakor tartanak istentiszteletet.

Minden hónap első vasárnapján, és egyházi ünnepeken úrvacsorai istentiszteletet tartanak.

Public transport

Tömegközlekedéssel Budapestről Kőszegre legcélszerűbb vonattal utazni. Budapest Déli pályaudvarról gyorsvonat, a Keleti pályaudvarról IC közlekedik Szombathelyig. Szombathelyről közvetlen személyvonat közlekedik Kőszegre, de a legtöbb Kőszegre közlekedő autóbusz is megáll a szombathelyi vasútállomáson. Kőszegen a vasútállomás kb. 1,5 km-re található a belvárostól. Helyijárat nincs, de a Kőszeg-Szombathely közötti járatokra válthatunk jegyet városon belül is.

Directions

Budapesttől Győrig az M1-es, azt követően az M85-ös, majd M86-os díjköteles autópályán haladunk Szombathelyig. Szombathelyről Kőszegre a 87-es főút vezet.

Parking

Kőszeg belvárosában alapvetően fizető parkolóhelyek találhatók. A templomhoz legközelebb eső fizetős parkolóhelyek a Károly Róbert téren és a Várkör 44. sz. épület környékén vannak. Ingyenes parkolók a templom közelében max. 3-4 autónak a Várkör 47-49. sz. épületek előtt és a Zrínyi utcában (4-5 autónak) találhatók.
