A kőszegi Szent Imre-templom

A mai formájában gótizáló, késő reneszánsz templom 1615-1618 között épült. Eredetileg a város magyar közösségének temploma, 1894-ig a város plébániatemploma volt. A főoltáron látható kép Szent Imrét ábrázolja. A templomban található freskókat id. és ifj. Dorfmeister István, a mellékoltárképeket Schaller István készítette.

Jelenleg a templom a Kőszegi Horvát Nemzetiségi Önkormányzat kezelésében van.

Opening times

A templomba alapvetően be lehet menni napközben, de csak a rácsokon keresztül csodálható meg az épület belső tere (így is mindenképpen megéri benézni).

Az épület teljes látogathatóságát a plébánia hivatal tudja biztosítani, előzetes egyeztetés alapján.

Látogatás díja: 300 Ft/fő.

A plébánia hivatal ügyfélfogadási rendje:

hétfőn, kedden, csütörtökön és pénteken délelőtt 9-12-óráig
hétfőn és csütörtökön délután 15-17-óráig

Szentmisék:

téli időben hétfőn, kedden, szerdán és pénteken 18 órakor,
valamint horvát nyelven minden hónap 2. és 4. vasárnapján 17 órakor.

Public transport

Tömegközlekedéssel Budapestről Kőszegre legcélszerűbb vonattal utazni. Budapest Déli pályaudvarról gyorsvonat, a Keleti pályaudvarról IC közlekedik Szombathelyig. Szombathelyről közvetlen személyvonat közlekedik Kőszegre, de a legtöbb Kőszegre közlekedő autóbusz is megáll a szombathelyi vasútállomáson. Kőszegen a vasútállomás kb. 1,5 km-re található a belvárostól. Helyijárat nincs, de a Kőszeg-Szombathely közötti járatokra válthatunk jegyet városon belül is.

Directions

Budapesttől Győrig az M1-es, azt követően az M85-ös, majd M86-os díjköteles autópályán haladunk Szombathelyig. Szombathelyről Kőszegre a 87-es főút vezet.

Parking

Kőszeg belvárosában alapvetően fizető parkolóhelyek találhatók. A Jurisics térre, illetve a történelmi belvárosba csak az engedéllyel rendelkezők hajthatnak be autóval. A térhez legközelebb eső fizetős parkolóhelyek a Károly Róbert téren és a Várkörön vannak. Ingyenes parkolók a belváros közelében a Hunyadi úton, a Velemi úton, a Zrínyi és a Táncsics utcában vannak.
