The medieval church in Sofia is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The absolute highlight of the church are the best-preserved Bulgarian Orthodox frescoes from the Middle Ages inside the church, which date back to 1259. The church is dedicated to Saints Nicholas and Pantaleimon.
The Bojana Church is located a little out of the way in Sofia, at the foot of the Vitosha Mountains, but can also be reached by public transport.
