Burgruine Falkenstein is located at 1,277 meters and is Germany's highest castle ruins. From the observation platform within the ruins, there is a stunning 360-degree panoramic view extending all the way to Neuschwanstein Castle.
A narrow road leads up to the Burghotel on Falkenstein (please note operating times and traffic lights). Additionally, various hiking trails lead to the ruins.
