Als Überrest der industriellen Vergangenheit erinnert die zur Gemeinde Quierschied gehörende Spitzkegelhalde Lydia an die Bergbau- und Industriegeschichte des Saarlandes. Ihre Gesamtfläche beträgt 66ha. Das obere Plateau hat eine Größe von ca. 12ha. Die höchste Punkt liegt bei etwa 120m. Von dort hat man einen guten Panoramablick auf die Stadtlandschaft und den Saarkohlenwald. Die Halde kann zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erkundet werden. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg war die nördlich der Fischbachbahn liegende Halde des Bergwerks Camphausen nicht mehr aufnahmefähig. In den 1950er Jahren begann man am heutigen Standort zwei Kegelhalden aufzuschütten, die später zu einem Tafelberg zusammengefasst wurden.
