Since the direct traverse at the Schochenspitze is closed, this route leads safely down via the Schochensattel. You’ll need to be in good shape and have plenty of stamina—the last 5 km can be quite a slog. If you’d like, you can take the gondola and the bus to make both the ascent and the return trip easier.
