The Einstein is a spectacular lookout mountain in the Tannheimer Tal above the village of Tannheim. While from the south there is a steep but easy path to the summit, on this route we take the challenging ascent from the north side. The nice thing about this route is that we will probably be alone and can fully enjoy the peace and solitude of the mountains. Initially ascending on a meadow path, the path is secured in the rocky area before the summit. Wire ropes and some iron steps help over this section. The ascent does not cause major problems, but surefootedness and some mountain experience are recommended. From the Einstein, we enjoy the wonderful view and then venture over the Rappenschrofengrat. This path along the ridge is also not for beginners. Without any securing and with some climbing over or bypassing rocks, the path leads along the ridge before descending back into the Engetal.
